RealVitalize FAQs
What is RealVitalize?
Why did we choose to partner with HomeAdvisor®?
HomeAdvisor offers the nation’s largest network of pre-screened, homeowner-rated home service professionals. They’ll connect your clients with top-rated local pros to ensure they’re getting the best service provider to get the job done right.
Where is RealVitalize available?
RealVitalize is nationally offered in all Coldwell Banker Realty markets, with the exception of Delaware and Rhode Island. Coldwell Banker Realty and HomeAdvisor will continue to explore opportunities for expansion in 2020.
How does RealVitalize work?
An agent works with the seller to determine if a RealVitalize project would benefit their home sale. Then, after enrollment in RealVitalize, a HomeAdvisor® Project Consultant handles all the coordination of selecting and coordinating vendor services, start to finish. All services will be billed to Coldwell Banker Realty and recouped from the client at closing with no hidden fees, interest charges or markups.
How much can a seller borrow as part of RealVitalize?
The budget for any RealVitalize project is equivalent to the sell-side commission of the home’s list price set forth in the listing agreement but not to exceed $50,000. Projects with costs greater than maximum assigned allocation will need to be rescoped or seller can pay the overage (above the approved amount) out of pocket.
How does pricing work?
Before HomeAdvisor® begins any work, the price will be clearly communicated and the seller will have the chance to review any quote before work is performed –if the seller disagrees with the price, the seller or agent can work with the dedicated HomeAdvisor® Project Consultant to find a different provider or change the scope of the work.
How are vendors selected to participate in RealVitalize?
HomeAdvisor has a rigorous screening process for its service providers, including background checks and licensing requirements. RealVitalize participating HomeAdvisor providers were selected for having the highest customer ratings and experience.
What if my home does not sell?
If the listing does not close within 12 months from the execution date of a RealVitalize contract or after the listing expires, the home seller will be responsible for paying Coldwell Banker Realty an amount equal to the amount that was utilized pursuant to the applicable Participation Agreement.
